Newly inaugurated president Joe Biden called for unity during his inaugural address and some members of the conservative media have adopted a more conciliatory tone toward the new administration. Others have yet to get the message. Such is the case for Chicks on the Right. Amy Jo Clark and Miriam Weaver, who are also known by the pseudonyms “Daisy” and “Mockarena”, posted a vlog late Thursday night sharing their reactions to the inauguration. In the nearly 30 minute vlog, they leveled criticism toward Fox News’ Chris Wallace for praising President Biden’s inaugural address, while also pushing far right theories that Biden is mentally ill and is a figurehead for others to run the country.
Before launching into criticism, however, The Chicks did take time to praise one aspect of Inauguration Day: The music.
“I have to say it (the music) was really good,” Weaver said. “Dave Ghrol was fantastic. John Legend, I loathe him because he is such a Commie, but he sang I’m Feeling Good, probably the best I have ever heard it.”
That’s where the praise ended though, as the duo were critical of everything else from security to President Biden signing Executive Orders on his first day in office and all points in between.
“It had a very Soviet feel to it with all the barbed wire fences,” Clark said. “Welcome to the Gulag…. His speech was very telapromter-y. He did not even know what he was saying and then Chris Wallace saying it was the most amazing speech he had ever heard was absolutely ridiculous. It was nothing but canned bullcrap.”
Weaver took issue with the way in which Mr. Biden signed the Executive Orders.
“He had little index cards to prompt him what to say before he signed each one of the 17 orders,” Weaver said. “The press was allowed to be there for the first three and he could not complete a coherent sentence. After the third one when he was really losing it, it looked like he did not know where he was, they were literally shoving the press out the door. The people in charge knew he was fading fast.”
“The guy is so freaking old,” Clark said of the 78 year old Biden. “It looked like he needed a nap and some Geritol. They were propping him up all day which is a microcosm of his presidency. He is going to be steamrolled through the next four years, if he even makes it that long. He is not the real leader of the country. The real leaders are the A.O.C.’s (Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez). They will say he is in charge, but he is not in charge. He has no freaking clue what he is doing. This country is being run by a bunch of Socialists.”
Throughout the rest of the vlog, The Chicks touched on several talking points and conspiracy theories that are popular among the ALT-Right, including that China “unleashed” the corona virus on the rest of the world while comparing Mr. Biden’s call for unity to an abusive relationship.
“The Democrats have battered us for four years,” Clark said. “And now they are like, ‘Come on baby. Let’s get back together’. Heck no! I’m packing my crap and moving in with Mom.”
In addition to vlogs and other posts on their website, Chicks on the Right have a radio program that airs from 9 a.m. until 11a.m. on Indianapolis’ 93 WIBC.
FOX News Enjoys Ratings Climb, CNN Takes a Step Back
“Fox News Channel was cable’s most-watched network during the week of February 15. CNN experienced its lowest-rated week in both total viewers and the 25-54 demographic since before the election.”
Fox News Channel was cable’s most-watched network overall for the week of Feb. 15. They continued topping prime time in total viewers; this past week, they averaged 2.486 million viewers, according to Nielsen Media Research. The Feb. 17 edition of “Tucker Carlson Tonight” (3.69 million viewers) led all cable news telecasts for the week.
Fox News also led in total day (6 a.m. to 5:59 a.m.) and notched its best performing week with the daytime average since the week of October 26th leading up to the 2020 election. “The Faulkner Focus” at 11AM/ET anchored by Harris Faulkner posted 1.5 million viewers and 214,000 in the 25-54 demo, earning its highest-rated week in viewership since its Jan. 18 launch and surpassing the competition on CNN and MSNBC in total viewers. From 1-3PM/ET, “America Reports” with John Roberts and Sandra Smith garnered 1.5 million viewers and 213,000 in the 25-54 demo, also seeing its most-watched week since program inception.
CNN experienced its lowest-rated week in both total viewers and in the key 25-54 demographic since before the election (9/21/20) as well as its lowest-watched week of the year in primetime in the key demographic. Nonetheless, CNN still managed to best both Fox News and MSNBC in 25-54. The cable news network’s demos were most assisted by its telecast of the week’s most notable news event: President Biden’s town hall from Milwaukee, WI from Feb. 16. It was the first time in prime time Biden took centerstage since his inauguration. He answered questions from Americans about multiple aspects of the coronavirus pandemic, including vaccines, school reopenings and economic recovery.
CNN also benefited from its Sunday night programming. “Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy”, which was picked up for a second season by CNN on Feb. 24, was the most-watched program in cable news for the day (Feb. 21) among both total viewers and adults 25-54. In total viewers within the 9pm ET hour, CNN was top-rated with 1.635 million, Fox News’ “The Next Revolution” followed with 1.130 million and MSNBC’s “The Week with Joshua Johnson” had 613,000; in the key demo adults 25-54, CNN averaged 385,000, +192 percent advantage over Fox News’ 132,000 and +442 percentage more than MSNBC’s 71,000, outperforming both networks combined.
At 10pm ET on Feb. 21, CNN’s “Lincoln: Divided We Stand” was cable news’ top rated in the hour with 1.229 million total viewers and 257,000 adults 25-54. Fox News’ “Rush Limbaugh: In His Words” special (999,000 viewers/145,000 25-54) and MSNBC’s “Richard Engel: On Assignment” (627,000 viewers/61,000 25-54) lagged behind; CNN also beating FNC and MSNBC combined within the demo.

Tony Katz Reporting Live From CPAC
“Radio host Tony Katz is attending the first two days (February 25-26) of the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Orlando, Florida.”
WIBC 93.1 Indianapolis has sent one of its hosts on special assignment. Morning show host Tony Katz is attending the first two days (February 25-26) of the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Orlando, Florida. The theme of this year’s conference is America Un-Cancelled.
Katz has been providing live reports from Radio Row during his usual time slot from 6-9 AM EST with interviews from a wide range of guests from among the conference attendees. They include politicians, radio hosts and other media personalities like Larry O’ Connor. Katz seemed to have hit most of the Conservative talking points so far in the first two days, from Liberal indoctrination in public education and how conservatives can fight back, to questioning whether there is a Civil War within the Republican Party. Katz also spent plenty of time critiquing President Joe Biden’s policies, both foreign (airstrikes on Syria) and domestic (The Equality Act).
Katz followed the same format during his afternoon program Tony Katz Today which is syndicated throughout the Midwest. Katz finished his busy day by posting wrap-up vlog, highlighting the day’s events and speakers to WIBC’s social media pages.
Unfortunately, for Katz’s fans, he is not scheduled to cover former President Donald Trump’s much anticipated speech on Sunday. Katz did offer his predictions on how the speech would go, however.
“Everybody is focused on what he (Trump) is going to say, but I think it is more of an opportunity for the crowd here just to say, “Thank You Mr. President.” They want to cheer for him because they have not been able to do that since his bans on social media.”
Katz is expected to be back in studio on Monday March 1.
Goka Slams Congress, CNN for Attempt to Silence Newsmax
“It is very simple,” Sebastian Gorka told Sean Spicer on the Newsmax program Spicer and Company. “The reason they (Congress) wants to do this is that Newsmax is crushing it in the ratings. Newsmax is providing a service and telling the truth.
National Radio host Sebastian Gorka made the transition to TV to do a guest spot Tuesday night and used the opportunity to blast the House of Representatives for a proposed hearing on February 24th questioning why cable and satellite services carry conservative networks like OAN and Newsmax.
“It is very simple,” Gorka told Sean Spicer on the Newsmax program Spicer and Company. “The reason they (Congress) wants to do this is that Newsmax is crushing it in the ratings. Newsmax is providing a service and telling the truth. Therefore, it is considered a threat. If you were peddling nothing but garbage, you would disappear. The market forces would dominate.”
“They can’t compete with us so they want to cancel us,” Spicer said.
According to an article published on Deadline.com, the hearing was called by Rep. Anna Eshoo (D-CA) and Rep. Jerry McNerney (D-CA) as they called Newsmax, OAN and Fox News, “misinformation rumor mills and conspiracy theory hotbeds that produce content that leads to real harm”.
“CNN and other networks like MSNBC see Newsmax as a threat,” Gorka continued. “That’s because people don’t watch CNN. Anderson Cooper gets less viewers every night than Yogi Bear reruns. But because Newsmax is breaking the stranglehold on Fake News, you are considered a threat.”
While Gorka’s claim that Cooper lost in the ratings to Yogi and other Nick at Nite programming is accurate, it is misleading. Gorka is citing an example that happened nearly four years ago during the week of June 26th through July 2. 2017.
That did not stop Gorka, Spicer and co-host Lindsey Keith from continuing to hammer away at CNN and a perceived attempt by the government to silence Newsmax.
“When you have U.S. Congressmen trying to ban me from hearing a different opinion, it scares me,” Keith said. “What are they trying to hide? I thought being able to have a different opinion was what being an American was all about.”
Gorka says the answer comes down to control.
“It’s not just that the government wants to give the propagandists, like CNN, The Washington Post and The New York Times, a monopoly on the media. It is also that the government doesn’t think we are adults. They want to treat us like children by saying some things are too dangerous to watch. This is very dangerous to every American.”
Gorka’s nationally syndicated radio program America First airs on the Salem Radio Network weeknights from 6 to 9 PM EST.
