Fox News host Tucker Carlson promised his viewers major ramifications resulting from the violence that occurred at the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday.
Carlson said that the “people taking power” would take advantage of the Capitol siege by stripping away basic freedoms. “Your right to speak without being censored, your right to make a living, and your right to defend yourself,” he warned. “These are the most basic and ancient freedoms we have.”
Carlson said anyone that is trying to understand the significance of what is going on right now, should watch the video of the woman shot to death inside of the U.S. Capitol.
“In the footage, which we are not going to show you [because of the graphic nature of it] , the scene around her is chaotic. Suddenly, with no warning, there is gunfire, the woman has been hit by a bullet. The camera closes in on the woman’s face, she is staring straight ahead unblinking, in her eyes you can tell that she knows she is about to die.”
The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear. What is clear, according to Carlson, is that an angry mob storming the Capital and the subsequent shooting death of an unidentified woman is beyond tragic.
“Imagine getting the call and learning that it was your daughter,” Carlson said. “The last time you spoke to her she was heading to a political rally, and now she’s dead, seriously imagine that.”
Piers Morgan Explains Good Morning Britain Exit To Tucker Carlson
“Morgan also gave aspects concerning his decision to depart the show, which came down to his unwillingness to apologize for his comments on Meghan.”
Former “Good Morning Britain” host Piers Morgan made his first public appearance since departing the show last month when he was a guest on Tucker Carlson’s Fox Nation show “Tucker Carlson Today.”
The Hill relayed the comments from the interview as Morgan didn’t change his stance on criticizing statements made by Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, and her husband, Prince Harry, during their interview with Oprah Winfrey.
Furthermore, Morgan touched on what happened on the morning show’s set when weatherman Alex Beresford confronted him on the comments directed towards the couple.
“It was an outrage. I wasn’t allowed to have an opinion that I didn’t believe what she was saying, even though it was clear to me in real-time as I was watching the interview that there were a number of things which couldn’t be true,” Morgan told Carlson.
“I was angry in the moment that he was trying to personalize this, make it I had some personal vendetta about Meghan Markle, which I don’t. And I came back. And we then had a pretty lively and quite enlightening, like half hour debate about this.”
Morgan also gave aspects concerning his decision to depart the show, which came down to his unwillingness to apologize for his comments on Meghan.
“I should be able to be a journalist and question the veracity of those statements. And frankly, I should be allowed in a democracy that values freedom of speech; I should be allowed to say, I’m sorry, I don’t believe you. But I wasn’t. I wasn’t allowed to do that,” Morgan said.

High Praise for Hunter Biden Memoir from CNN’s Brian Stelter
“I’ll tell you what, I’ve read a lot of memoirs, I’ve never read a memoir like this one before,” Stelter told viewers.
CNN’s Brian Stelter hailed Hunter Biden’s new memoir as “extraordinary” and “breathtaking” during his show Reliable Sources Sunday. Among the revelations in his new book, the 51-year-old son of the president writes that he first bought crack cocaine at age 18. He first fell in love with alcohol in high school and started drinking heavily after work in his 20s.
“I’ll tell you what, I’ve read a lot of memoirs, I’ve never read a memoir like this one before,” Stelter told viewers. “Take out the last name Biden, this is about addiction, and how to help people and it’s going to resonate for that reason.”
Biden writes that his addictions entered a particularly dark phase after Beau died of brain cancer in 2015.
“You’ve heard all the tabloid coverage, you think you know his story, we know that right-wing media is obsessed with him,” Stelter said. “This book. This book is about addiction. About how many times Hunter Biden could have died, the president’s son, it’s breathtaking.”
President Joe Biden’s son Hunter dodged several questions in a new interview about his laptop that was seized by the FBI in 2019.
Hunter Biden told CBS News in an interview clip released on Friday that he has “no idea whether or not” the laptop belongs to him, but acknowledged that it was “certainly” a possibility, before raising several other theories.
